Erik Serrano Berntsen is the Chief Executive Officer of Stable, responsible for defining and executing the firm’s Investment Strategy. Prior to Stable, Erik was a consultant with Bain & Co., where he executed both private equity deal studies and investment opportunity sizing deals as part of the Private Equity Group (PEG), and participated in a broad spectrum of corporate client engagements for clients including banks and Investment Firms. Erik holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Keble College, University of Oxford and a Master of Business Administration with honors and a Concentration in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Christopher L. Winiarz is the Chief Investment Officer of Stable. As a member of the leadership team and reporting to the firm’s CEO, Chris contributes to the firm’s business strategy, deal sourcing and structuring, underwriting and research. Chris was previously the Chief Investment Officer for Lakeview Capital Management, a single-family office. Chris has focused on emerging managers and built Strategic Partnerships in both public and private markets. Chris was previously an Investment Officer for the University of California’s pension and endowment assets totaling $110B and has extensive experience in manager research, asset allocation and security selection. Chris holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics from Loyola University Chicago and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Eric Wortman is the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Compliance Officer of Stable. He is responsible for overseeing Stable’s operational, financial and compliance programs, as well as its operating partner platform efforts supporting aspiring founders with their firm launches. Prior to Stable, he was Managing Director for AllianceBernstein’s Alternative Investment Management business, a cross-asset class third party multi-manager investment platform. In this role, Eric managed operations and infrastructure, reporting, operational due diligence, and product development efforts for the business. At AllianceBernstein Eric also served as Director of Strategy and Transformation for AB’s Fixed Income Alternative Investment Operations team, designing and directing change initiatives within AB’s Fixed Income business. Prior to AllianceBernstein, Eric was a Senior Accountant at Rothstein Kass, conducting audit engagements of alternative investment managers. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Yeshiva University in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant (Inactive).

Rebecca Noyes is the Chief Financial Officer of Stable responsible for directing Stable’s financial strategy and operations, development and monitoring of control systems, and supports Stable’s compliance program. Rebecca was previously CFO at Alderwood Capital and Senior Group Financial Controller at Northill Capital, as well as a Financial Controller at Kedge Capital. Rebecca is a Qualified Chartered Accountant (CGMA) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Philosophy with honors from King’s College, London.

Tom Cheesman is an Executive Director at Stable responsible for manager sourcing and business development for Stable and European based Partnerships. Prior to Stable, Tom was Director of Business Development at Cardwell Investment Technologies. Tom has extensive experience across derivative trading strategies with analyst roles at Barclays and BASF, as well as a broker background at Berkeley Futures Ltd. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Psychology from the University of Warwick.

Lawrence Berner is the Director of Research at Stable responsible for manager research and due diligence. Previously Larry was Head of Research for International Asset Management Ltd. (IAM). He also served as Portfolio Manager and Head of Asian/European Manager Research at Morgan Stanley, both in the UK and the US, where he was portfolio manager for Asian and European manager research across strategies. Prior to that, he was an Analyst at Glenwood Capital Investments. Larry holds a Bachelor of Science from The University of Texas at Austin in Computer Science and Math, and a Masters in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago.

Natasha Chamberlain is the Executive Assistant to our CEO. Tash is involved in all aspects of the firm and leads the EA Team. Having studied at the Oxford Media and Business School where she received a Distinction with Honours, Tash has over a decade of experience assisting at an Executive level across a number of different industries.

Maura Danko is a Director at Stable responsible for US manager sourcing and business development. Prior to Stable, Maura was Director of Business Development at FORT LP, focusing on US allocators. Previously, Maura was at J.P. Morgan in the Liquidity Solutions Sales group where she was responsible for structuring investment solutions for a wide variety of J.P. Morgan clients. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Maura was at Barclays in Commodity Sales, where she focused on electricity and natural gas markets. Maura holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and English from The College of William and Mary.

Alix Faujour is a Senior Research Associate at Stable responsible for manager sourcing and due diligence across both US and EU managers. Prior to joining Stable, she was an Investment Manager at BPIF SPRL, a Belgium-based Single Family Office, and was a Portfolio Manager at Bank Degroof Petercam within its dedicated UHNWI Wealth Management division. She is a CFA Charterholder and holds a Master of International Trade and Finance from the ESCE in Paris.

Justin Feldman is a Director of Fund Operations at Stable. Responsible for directing Stable’s Operating Partner Platform and operational due diligence efforts, Justin was previously a Director of Operations and Operational Due Diligence for AllianceBernstein LP’s Custom Alternative Solutions business. Prior to that, Justin was a Senior Accountant at Rothstein Kass, managing audit engagements of alternative investment managers. Justin holds a Bachelor of Science from Lehigh University in Accounting.

Jailene Fermin is the Executive Assistant to our CIO and COO of Stable. Jailene attended Monroe College School of Business and Accounting where she graduated with honors. Prior to joining Stable, Jailene served as an Executive Assistant at Antares Capital, where she provided support to the Chief Commercial Officer, Co-head of the Originations, Senior Manager of the Originations, and other executives.

George Foster is an Operations Analyst at Stable responsible for Management Company accounting, compliance and HR administration as well as general support to the wider Operations team. George was previously a Senior Management Accountant at Blick Rothenberg, responsible for overseeing outsourced accountancy services to private equity and hedge fund clients. He is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and holds his AAT accounting qualification.

Tristan Heffler is a Product Controller at Stable responsible for fund accounting, operations and reporting. Previously a Senior Associate at KPMG, responsible for overseeing audits of asset managers including hedge funds and private equity funds. Tristan holds a Bachelor of Science from Lehigh University in Business, Economics and Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Jonathan Poon is a Senior Research Associate at Stable responsible for manager research and due diligence across both EU and Asia managers. Prior to joining Stable, Jonathan was a Senior Investment Associate at Partners Capital and was also a Senior Investment Analyst at Mercer within its Strategic Solutions Group. He is a CFA and CAIA Charterholder and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Cambridge, St Edmund’s College in Natural Science and Chemistry.

Gina Saponare is an Associate at Stable responsible for marketing and business development support. Previously she was a Marketing & Client Service Specialist at Stone Harbor Investment Partners responsible for marketing, sales and institutional client support. Prior to Stone Harbor Investment Partners, Gina was an Executive Assistant at Manatuck Hill Partners and Pequot Capital Management. Gina holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from Southern Connecticut State University.

Paula Taboada is an Analyst at Stable responsible for marketing and business development support. Prior to joining Stable, she was an Associate at True Altitude and an Investment Analyst at Inversiones Catasol. Paula holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business Management from Newcastle University.

Olivia Turnbull is the Executive Assistant to our Director of Research and Research Team at Stable. Previously an Events Executive at SBC Gaming, she was responsible for organizing global business-to-business conferences and exhibitions. Liv completed the Executive PA Program from Quest Professional and graduated top of her class.

Ritu Tyagi is a Product Controller at Stable responsible for fund accounting, operations, and reporting. Previously at GI Partners, responsible for accounting and operations of the sixth flagship private equity fund, she was also a controller at Soros Fund Management, responsible for accounting and operations of the private equity portfolio consisting of both external fund managers and direct investments. Ritu holds a Master of Accounting from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management, Finance from Tulane University.

Sherrese Clarke Soares is a visionary 2-time Founder & CEO having spent over 20 years in corporate finance, capital markets, investment banking, and private equity. Prior to founding HarbourView, Sherrese Clarke Soares founded Tempo Music where she served as CEO and Board Director. At Tempo, Sherrese formed a strategic partnership with Warner Music Group, brought on Providence Equity Partners to back the venture, and delivered an above average IRR for the investment class.

Previously, Sherrese was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, having spent close to 15 years in several roles at the firm and most recently leading the Entertainment, Media, & Sports Structured Solutions Platform, devising a cross asset strategy focused on capital solutions for intellectual property. During her 10-year tenure, she managed the origination and execution of $85B+ in loan commitments for the firm and served as Deputy Chair of the Capital Commitment Committee. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Sherrese was one of the three founding senior leaders to develop the Entertainment Practice at CIT Group, overseeing a $1B portfolio across entertainment companies.

Sherrese received a B.S. in Finance from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. She is a board member of Evoqua Holdings (NYSE: AQUA) and Planned Parenthood Federation of America where she serves as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee. She is also a board trustee at Carnegie Hall. She is a recipient of the Billboard 2021 Change Agent, Class of 2020 – 2022 Women in Music awards, 2022 Power list and the Buyouts Class of 2022 Women in PE. She was also included in the Variety Women’s Impact Report 2022.

Brian Hurst is Co-founder and CIO of ClearAlpha, he sets the firm’s strategy and leads its portfolio management and trading teams. Before starting ClearAlpha™, Brian was the first non-Founding Partner at AQR Capital Management. Over 21 years at AQR, he worked as a portfolio manager, researcher, and head of trading. Brian helped design and build AQR’s trading platform and managed more than $15 billion in hedge fund assets. He also served on various committees, including the Strategic Planning Committee and the Risk Committee. Brian was Cliff Asness’ first hire in the Quantitative Research Group at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), where he conducted research and developed technology for the Global Alpha Fund. Across decades of experience, Brian has managed a variety of multi-asset portfolios through many market environments. He is a member of the Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital Council and holds a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Sean Terretta is Co-founder and CTO of ClearAlpha, he leads the firm’s trading, research, and client technology development, as well as its entrepreneurial operating model. An experienced engineering executive, Sean has a background in financial services innovation. Prior to ClearAlpha™, he was CTO of MUFG Americas (and member of its Risk Committee), Chief Architect for Tech Strategy and Incubation at Bridgewater Associates, and founded high-tech and global scale startups across various industries. As an inventor of SaaS, security, and cloud building blocks, Sean has served on Microsoft’s Internet Advisory Board, Amazon Web Services’ Customer Advisory Board, and the Cloud Native Computing Foundation’s Financial Services SIG.

Rebecca Pacholder, is Founder and Portfolio Manager of Snowcat. She has over 25 years of experience investing in high yield and distressed debt across many different market cycles. Prior to launching Snowcat, she was a Portfolio Manager and Partner at Omega Advisors from 2012 through 2018. Previously, she was a senior analyst at Anchorage, a credit opportunity fund, a partner at Sandell, a multi-strategy fund where she specialized in high yield and distressed debt investments and an equity and merger arbitrage investment professional at other firms prior to Sandell. Rebecca received her BA in Politics from Princeton University and her JD from the University of Texas, where she graduated with honors. Rebecca is also a CFA charterholder.

Snowcat is a bottoms-up, fundamentally driven credit investment strategy, focused on distressed issuers. Snowcat’s strategy exposure opportunistically invest across the capital structure, including loans, bonds, and re-organizational equity.
