Erik Serrano Berntsen is the Chief Executive Officer of Stable, responsible for defining and executing the firm’s Investment Strategy. Prior to Stable, Erik was a consultant with Bain & Co., where he executed both private equity deal studies and investment opportunity sizing deals as part of the Private Equity Group (PEG), and participated in a broad spectrum of corporate client engagements for clients including banks and Investment Firms. Erik holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Keble College, University of Oxford and a Master of Business Administration with honors and a Concentration in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Christopher L. Winiarz is the Chief Investment Officer of Stable. As a member of the leadership team and reporting to the firm’s CEO, Chris contributes to the firm’s business strategy, deal sourcing and structuring, underwriting and research. Chris was previously the Chief Investment Officer for Lakeview Capital Management, a single-family office. Chris has focused on emerging managers and built Strategic Partnerships in both public and private markets. Chris was previously an Investment Officer for the University of California’s pension and endowment assets totaling $110B and has extensive experience in manager research, asset allocation and security selection. Chris holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics from Loyola University Chicago and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Tom Cheesman is an Executive Director at Stable responsible for manager sourcing and business development for Stable and European based Partnerships. Prior to Stable, Tom was Director of Business Development at Cardwell Investment Technologies. Tom has extensive experience across derivative trading strategies with analyst roles at Barclays and BASF, as well as a broker background at Berkeley Futures Ltd. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Psychology from the University of Warwick.

Lawrence Berner is a Director of Investments at Stable responsible for manager research and due diligence. Previously Lawrence was Head of Research for International Asset Management Ltd. (IAM). He also served as Portfolio Manager and Head of Asian/European Manager Research at Morgan Stanley, both in the UK and the US, where he was portfolio manager for Asian and European manager research across strategies. Prior to that, he was an Analyst at Glenwood Capital Investments. Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Science from The University of Texas at Austin in Computer Science and Math, and a Masters in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago.

Manu Bhanot is a Senior Investment Analyst at Stable responsible for manager sourcing and diligence. Prior to joining Stable, Manu was an Investment Associate on Morgan Stanley’s Private Equity Solutions team. Manu holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Chicago in Economics.

Emmy Brigstocke is a Director at Stable responsible for firm strategy and business development. She joined Stable from Bain & Co., where she worked in the Private Equity Group (PEG) and in corporate strategy consulting. Previously, Emmy was at BlackRock, in the private credit and private equity businesses in New York and London. Emmy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Dartmouth College and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD.

Maura Danko is a Director at Stable responsible for US manager sourcing and business development. Prior to Stable, Maura was Director of Business Development at FORT LP, focusing on US allocators. Previously, Maura was at J.P. Morgan in the Liquidity Solutions Sales group where she was responsible for structuring investment solutions for a wide variety of J.P. Morgan clients. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Maura was at Barclays in Commodity Sales, where she focused on electricity and natural gas markets. Maura holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and English from The College of William and Mary.

Justin Feldman is a Director of Fund Operations at Stable. Responsible for directing Stable’s Operating Partner Platform and operational due diligence efforts, Justin was previously a Director of Operations and Operational Due Diligence for AllianceBernstein LP’s Custom Alternative Solutions business. Prior to that, Justin was a Senior Accountant at Rothstein Kass, managing audit engagements of alternative investment managers. Justin holds a Bachelor of Science from Lehigh University in Accounting.

George Foster is an Operations Associate at Stable responsible for Management Company accounting, compliance and HR administration as well as general support to the wider Operations team. George was previously a Senior Management Accountant at Blick Rothenberg, responsible for overseeing outsourced accountancy services to private equity and hedge fund clients. He is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW).

Dominic Gatt is a Director at Stable responsible for manager research and due diligence. Previously Dominic was Head of Credit for Titan Advisors. In this role he was responsible for global manager research in both public and private credit strategies. Prior to that, he was an Associate Director at Saguenay Strathmore Capital, responsible for US manager sourcing and diligence across all strategies. Dominic began his career at AMP Capital, focused on absolute return strategies, and ultimately became the portfolio manager for the multi-manager hedge fund product, which invested globally across all hedge fund products. Dominic holds a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) from The University of Sydney in Computer Science and Information Systems, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney in Economics and Finance. Dominic is a CFA Charterholder.

Tristan Heffler is a Product Controller at Stable responsible for fund accounting, operations and reporting. Previously a Senior Associate at KPMG, responsible for overseeing audits of asset managers including hedge funds and private equity funds. Tristan holds a Bachelor of Science from Lehigh University in Business, Economics and Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Simone Paquet is an Analyst at Stable responsible for marketing and business development support. Previously Simone worked at Neuberger Berman in their Institutional Client Group as a Client Service Advisor. Prior to NB she held roles in Operational Due Diligence and Compliance at HarbourVest Partners. She started her career in London at Quilter Cheviot. Simone holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies and a minor in French from The University of California, Berkeley and is a CAIA Charterholder.

Jonathan Poon is an Investment Director at Stable responsible for manager research and due diligence across managers globally. Prior to joining Stable, Jonathan was a Senior Investment Associate at Partners Capital and was also a Senior Investment Analyst at Mercer within its Strategic Solutions Group. He is a CFA and CAIA Charterholder and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cambridge in Natural Sciences.

Yudi is the Director of Finance and is responsible for overseeing and leading Stable’s financial strategy, operations, and compliance program. Yudi has extensive experience in building, scaling, and managing finance functions across Private Capital strategies. Prior to Stable, he held senior finance positions at Hollyport Capital, Balderton Capital, and most recently at FBP, an emerging impact-focused Private Equity manager, where he was responsible for overseeing all financial and operational activities. Yudi is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the UCL School of Management, London.

Paula Taboada is a Senior Analyst at Stable responsible for marketing and business development support. Prior to joining Stable, she was an Associate at True Altitude and an Investment Analyst at Inversiones Catasol. Paula holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business Management from Newcastle University.

Ritu Tyagi is a Product Controller at Stable responsible for fund accounting, operations, and reporting. Previously at GI Partners, responsible for accounting and operations of the sixth flagship private equity fund, she was also a controller at Soros Fund Management, responsible for accounting and operations of the private equity portfolio consisting of both external fund managers and direct investments. Ritu holds a Master of Accounting from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management, Finance from Tulane University.

Olivia Turnbull is the Executive Assistant to our Director of Investment and Investment Team at Stable. Previously an Events Executive at SBC Gaming, she was responsible for organizing global business-to-business conferences and exhibitions. Liv completed the Executive PA Program from Quest Professional and graduated top of her class.

Sherrese Clarke Soares is a visionary 2-time Founder & CEO having spent over 20 years in corporate finance, capital markets, investment banking, and private equity. Prior to founding HarbourView, Sherrese Clarke Soares founded Tempo Music where she served as CEO and Board Director. At Tempo, Sherrese formed a strategic partnership with Warner Music Group, brought on Providence Equity Partners to back the venture, and delivered an above average IRR for the investment class.

Previously, Sherrese was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, having spent close to 15 years in several roles at the firm and most recently leading the Entertainment, Media, & Sports Structured Solutions Platform, devising a cross asset strategy focused on capital solutions for intellectual property. During her 10-year tenure, she managed the origination and execution of $85B+ in loan commitments for the firm and served as Deputy Chair of the Capital Commitment Committee. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Sherrese was one of the three founding senior leaders to develop the Entertainment Practice at CIT Group, overseeing a $1B portfolio across entertainment companies.

Sherrese received a B.S. in Finance from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. She is a board member of Evoqua Holdings (NYSE: AQUA) and Planned Parenthood Federation of America where she serves as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee. She is also a board trustee at Carnegie Hall. She is a recipient of the Billboard 2021 Change Agent, Class of 2020 – 2022 Women in Music awards, 2022 Power list and the Buyouts Class of 2022 Women in PE. She was also included in the Variety Women’s Impact Report 2022.

Arnaud de Lasteyrie is the CIO and majority shareholder of Machina Capital, a French machine learning-driven hedge fund, which he co-founded in 2017.

Arnaud has a relatively unusual profile for a quant investor. After studying Economics at ESSEC, he embarked on a trip around the world (in 80 days) and subsequently began his career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. Six years later, having just been promoted to Associate Partner, he resigned to enter the alternative investment world, joining the private equity firm BC Partners as a Principal, and then Société Générale’s proprietary trading unit. Initially in charge of a discretionary “special situations” long/short equity portfolio, he systematized his strategies and began to run an equity market-neutral quant book. Growing the team and diversifying the types of alphas along the way, he resigned eight years later to co-found Machina in Paris, with the help of four colleagues.

Previously, Sara served as VP Investments at Roivant where she led investments and divestments across several therapeutic areas in the Biotech space. Earlier, Sara served as Principal with Sofinnova Partners where she supported and led over 10 venture investments in the Biotech space. Prior to her investment career, Sara spent 10 years in R&D including several years in the Pharma industry as a medicinal chemist where she contributed to the nomination of several clinical candidates, and a fellowship in Biochemistry/Biophysics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Sara received her PhD in Organic chemistry from the University of Manchester UK and she also holds an MBA from INSEAD.

Sascha Oliver Bucher is Co-Founder and Partner at Forty51 Ventures, he leads the firm’s deal making activities, as well as the operating activities of Forty51’s venture building model. Previously, he was Partner and Managing Director of Investments at Roivant and Head of Europe. Before that he went through the ranks at Roche with numerous Investment and Corporate Development functions including as Deputy Head of Global M&A. He was involved in 100+ transactions and negotiated and closed over 50 international deals with an accumulated total deal value of more than 10 billion USD. Prior to Roche, Sascha was a banker at UBS. He holds an MBA in Finance and Economics from the University of Basel and is both a Harvard Business School GMP alumnus and a Certified European Financial Analyst and Asset Manager.

Tamas Schweighoffer is Co-Founder and Partner at Forty51 Ventures, he leads the firms scientific and medical evaluation of investment opportunities. Previously, he was Chief Scientific Officer at Alentis Therapeutics and has accumulated over 25 years of experience as a physician-scientist and translational pharma developer across multiple indications and modalities, both in academia, public and private research institutes, and in Pharma organizations. He has initiated and led more than 30 R&D projects, from original scientific discoveries up to proof of concept in man and significantly contributed to three medicines that reached the market. Tamas received his MD from the Semmelweis University Medical School in Budapest, Hungary.

Forty51 Ventures is a Biotech venture capital fund focused on creating companies around high-quality assets and indications that are often contrarian or overlooked.

Peter Bremberg is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of The Quarry. In his role as CIO, Peter is responsible for portfolio construction and capital allocations to The Quarry’s portfolio managers. Peter was previously the Chief Operating Officer of Boothbay Fund Management LLC, a global multi-manager hedge fund with over $5 billion of capital allocations to 100+ portfolio managers.

Prior to Boothbay, he was a Director in the Global Prime Solutions & Financing division of BNP Paribas from 2010-2016. Before BNP, Peter was the 8th employee and Treasury Manager at Northern Arc Capital in India, a structured credit and specialty finance company that has enabled financing for over 50 million underserved households and businesses in India. Peter began his career at Bear, Stearns & Co. in the Equities Division.

Peter has an M.B.A. in Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Franciscan University of Steubenville.
